- HAROLD D. GUMM
Harold D. Gumm, 71, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away September 22, 2005 at his residence.
He was born July 14, 1934 in Hazard, KY. He was employed by National Starch for 36 years.
Survivors are his sons, Jeffery Gumm, Gregory Gumm and Eddie Gumm; daughters, Wilma Winkler and Denise Melton; brothers and sisters, Billy Joe Coomer, James R. Coomer, Irene Dixon, Louise Markus, Henretta Colyer, Kitsy Ann Jones, Dorothy Jewell,and Brenda Stamper; 19 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene and brothers, Pat and Robert.
Funeral services for Harold D. Gumm were held Tuesday, September 27, 2005 in the G.H. Herrmann Funeral Home, Indianapolis, IN.

STEPHEN RAY GROSS JR.
Stephen Ray Gross, Jr., of Beattyville, KY, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at his residence.
He was born June 24, 1977 in Richmond, KY, the son of Stephen Ray Gross and Brenda Sue (Slone) Gross. He was an oil field worker.
Survivors are his father, Stephen Ray Gross Sr. of Beattyville, KY; mother Brenda Sue Slone Gross of Beattyville, KY; sisters, Stephanie Sue Gross and Hollie Ann Gross both of Beattyville, KY; nephew, Evan Tyler Rowe; niece, Shonda LeeAnn Gross; maternal grandmother, Kathleen Slone; paternal grandmother, Imogene Gross; paternal grandfather, Virgil Gross; 11 aunts; 6 uncles; numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by grandfather, Roscoe Slone and two uncles.
Funeral services for Stephen Ray Gross Jr. were held Friday, September 23, 2005 at 1 p.m. in the Newnam Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Franklin Drake and Bro. Larry Cress officiating. Burial was in the Slone Cemetery on Wade Ridge Road.
Pallbearers were Brandon Stamper, Chris Thompson, Jerry Rowe, Joe Allen Slone, Brack Phillips, Benj. Slone, Russell Wade and John Wade.

REV. JACK D. BRAY
Rev. Jack D. Bray, 41, of Beattyville, KY, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2005 at the Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, KY.
He was born April 8, 1964 in Campton, KY, the son of Cecil and Betty Coomer Bray. He was a minister and member of the Butler Ridge Pentecostal Church.
Survivors are children, Jason D. Bray (Kristy), Nikki Horn (Jordan), Casondra Bray, Jordan Bray, all of Beattyville, KY; grandchildren, Jonathan and Jacob Bray of Beattyville, KY; brother, Charles Bray (Wanda) of Beattyville, KY; sisters, Cora Gentry, Marcella Fox (Jr.), all of Beattyville, KY, Edith Smith of Richmond, KY; special friend, Mary Best of Beattyville, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Sharon Gentry, and brother-in-law, Bobby Jack Smith.
Funeral services for Rev. Jack D. Bray were held Sunday, September 25, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the Newnam Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason D. Bray and Rev. Naomi Calvert officiating. Burial was in the St. Helens Cemetery at St. Helens, KY.
Pallbearers were Shane Coomer, W.D. Rogers, C.C. Bray, Jordan Horn, Jesse Mays, Don Lovins and Tommy Thorpe.

MONTGOMERY BOWMAN
Montgomery Bowman, 98, of Beattyville, KY, passed away Monday, September 19, 2005 at Lee County Care and Rehab Center.
He was born October 16, 1906 in Wolfe County, KY, the son of Owens and Mattie (Trent) Bowman. He was a farmer.
Survivors are one brother, Ned Bowman of Middletown, OH; sisters, Laura Natherly and Ida Roe both of Middletown, OH; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, a brother, Everett Bowman; and three sisters, Daisy, Eva and Lennie.
Funeral services for Montgomery Bowman were held Thursday, September 22, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the Newnam Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Owens officiating. Burial was in the Beatty Place Cemetery on Yellow Rock Road.
