Friday's Internet Edition, September 03, 2010. ATV accident claims life in Owsley - Early Sunday morning, July 8th, Tony Gross, age 27, of Upper Wolfe Creek Road, Ricetown, KY of Owsley County was killed in an ATV accident. According to Kentucky State Trooper Brent Lynch, Mr. Gross was traveling west on the Right Hand Fork of Buffalo when he entered a curve and started to skid, losing control of the ATV. The vehicle dropped off the left shoulder of the road and struck a tree to come to a final rest. The Owsley County Emergency Medical Services responded to the accident and contacted the Owsley County Coroner’s office. Tony Gross, born February 29, 1980, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:40 a.m. Trooper Lynch is in charge of the ongoing investigation.
